A little over 3 feet long, and a as thick as my calf...got him from a guy who was trying to trade him in at the petstore...he sold him to us for $35. He's currently in my 125 . Sorry about the pic quality...we just added some sand to the tank....

Those are both amazing looking Eels.
I can't help but, to be afraid of them in a tank that size.........it seems like they will try to escape.

I'm not worried about it. The tank lid is sealed and locked--with a couple of bricks:D . The green has been living in a 30g LFS tank for the last three years...so I think he'll be fine...:)

Thanks! He's a pretty mellow green. I'm surprised he hasn't faced off with my tesselata yet. Even during feeding, everyone behaved themselves.
This eel has been at a pet store here forever...in a tiny 30g tank. A teenager bought him two weeks ago--FOR HIS REEF tank! That didn't work out, so as he was walking into the store to return him, he ran into us...and we decided to buy the eel from him.
I'm moving soon, and will likely set up my 180 for them to give them a little more bottom area, but right now the 125 will have to do.

Hey, that's a great looking green moray... When I had my big Tessys, I noticed that they seemed to get along great 95% of the time... It seemed like they'd fight for a couple weeks in the spring every year... Basically, they'd fight for a bit and head to opposite ends of the tank... Of course, eels heal quickly, so neither was permanently injured. The rest of the year they got along great...

I didn't expect to get that DEAL or the EEL. It was one of those "too good to be true" things. I almost passed on it, thinking it would fight with my tesselata.

I hope so. Right now, they are all laying together. I have a pic of it I'll attach...I'm stunned that no one is fighting in the tank!
Thanks for all the comments:)
BTW...any of you guys know if I'll need to add oxygen for the extra load??? I have a skimmer, mechanical filter (in addition to the W/D) and a fat power head with an airline...knowing these guys are oxygen suckers, I'm wondering if I should add another couple powerheads??
