New guitar picks!

Ok, so I went to the music store today, because I needed some new picks. When I went up to the counter and asked him for picks he pulled out all of the cases. I didn't see any that I liked, and as I started to put them all back he said "I have these funky ones... if you want to see 'em". I said sure and now I am hooked. They are called cactus picks and they have little pointy grips so they don't fall out of your hand. Anyone else have experience with these?

I use the pearl white fender mediums as well, but IMO these far surpass them. And at $10 for 50 i'm not complaining. I'm not sure who they are made by. They just say cactus picks

Some years back when I first started "playing" I had some picks that had little ridges on them I really liked. Picks are the least of my problems now. It's been like 15 years and each wrist broken since I've noodled around much. Sucks trying to get my hands back in shape

Look on the package, it doesn't say who makes them? $10 for 50 is a darn good price.

I am a fan of Snarling Dog Brain pics in the .53mm for acoustic. Sometiimes I'll go lighter for recording. Depends on the sound I am looking for. For Electric, I love the Jim Dunlop Jazz III's!!!!!
Anyway, here is a picture of the cactus:

I use two different brands of picks depending on my mood.
My first choice is Dunlop (Nylon 1mm)
My second choice is Dava (rubber grip with plastic tip....heavy)
I play a Jackson electric and have always used the real heavy picks. I never really felt comfortable with lighter picks.

this is what i thought.
the site says that there are raised bumps on the back to help keep grip, although i've never dropped a pick while playing.

Me either. Perhaps they are for excessive perspiring musicians.
