thanks for all the advice so far. ive bought THE NEW MARINE AQUARIUM(Michael Paletta) and it really seems like the right source of research but i am looking to get started with something simple- not too much dead livestock, but also having a great setup. i do want to use a skimmer and live rock and sand but if this is not recommended for a beginner please let me kno. THANKS FOR ALL THE ADVICE

i agreethe first statement, and the only instance in where i would consider otherwise is if the fish you select could be aproblem there
definitely a grreat way for a beginner to start out and a darn good boook for a beginner it is very well worded for beginners too
