I've been gone for 9 days and WOW the tank has changed!! So excited...
Just before leaving on vacation I moved my tiny coral over to the other side of the tank and up onto a rock. I came back and the 4th polyp is open and there's a new one forming! They are also a LOT taller (they were kind or scrunched down before).
My bi-valve moved forward on his rock and new black featherduster worm took his spot. This thing still creeps me out.
I have my first patch of purple coralline on a rock that's not the original purple rock!
The ugly brown/red diatoms are gone and now I have a bright green something growing on the rock.
Meet Shrek and Baby (named by my girls.. 3 and 5 years old), got them today and they are currently in quarantine. They seem SO tiny so I'll keep them in there until they grow a bit and hopefully my damsel will leave them alone.
I also got a Hawaiian featherduster today, I LOVE those!
Complimentary Tank Shot (nope, didn't remove the wood planks, they help me sleep at night).
