New Kenya tree and Colt still wont open?

I got a colt frag and 2 kenya trees 3 days ago. I placed them in holes in the live rock. One of the kenya trees half way up in the tank with moderate flow, the other all the way on the bottom with little flow. The colt is in the middle with moderate flow. They are wilted over and don't look good. The colt had some stuff that looked like it was melting away, but that stopped about a day ago. Any suggestions?

colts can slime for a bit once fresh cut but those are fairly durable and like you said it has already stopped. Kenya generally dont slime but they take a few days or even up to a week to really fully inflate and spread out again after being cut. Is your just shrunken back in but color is good? or has it gone limp and is still spread out?
I have best results with Kenya just in middle of tank and moderate flow, and keeping them clean with turkey baster from time to time if the new frags have any sediment or shmutz on them for the first week or so. Give them every oportunity to inflate and move ever so gently in flow with no algea or sediment being kicked onto them to potentially block the polyps. If they arent going pale or mushy then they usually go great given water is within spec and lighting is good when just kept clean and in light flow. Also try to resist moving them or touching them, if they are just shrunken back, its ok, they will open in time. Just try to avoid any reason to make more downtime that they wont open because something touched or aggitated them. Dont know if its scientific but thats HOW I DO IT and never have any problems.

Thanks reef for brains. Everything you said makes sense with what the corals are doing. Both of the kenyas are stiff and not mushy at all they both still have color and I have touched them every day so ... I will stop.
The colt is looking better already and is not "mushy" so I think it will be ok if I don't touch it.
