well i am thinking of starting a new tank!!! but before i satr asking questions let me explain why i stoped in the first place. i never knew how to post photos so this created a problem for me because i had a problem, a big or should i say little problem. as you can see in this pic this was the littlebig problem i had

i got rid of this **** but before i did he reproduced and first killed this

that was ok becasuse i thought he died of natural causes..... but then he killed the two things i loved the most

i was trying to have these two mate (i know it is almost impossible but i was trying) and after that i was upset and everything just went down hill from there. and another factor in it was i didnt have a job so i couldnt do everything i wanted to do. but now that i am alittle older and have a job i can do this!!! i was wondering if you guys could first tell me what type of crab that was and then tell me what size would be good for my new reef project, i was thinking between 29 (what i had first) or around a 45.
thanks for reading and hope to have a tank soon.

Oh WOW, Are you saying that little crab killed your cleaner, then your clowns???
I had a small crab, actually two, that looked very similar to that one, but they are now gone(victims of my ginger ale remedy to get rid of unwanted pests)
Mine did in my BTA-but it was competing for the food. My tomato clown would attack the crab every time he came out, but couldnot deter the persistant pest.
I have recently come back into the hobby after 20+ years of fish keeping and a few years off due to retirement, moving and a husband with little tolerance for tanks, water splashes and additional expenses!!
I actually started back with a 75 gallon which is a nice size. The deeper(? wider? tanks give you more room for rock work and swimming room for your fish, but all costs increase expotentially(is that the right word?) Anyway, bigger the tank, more money to set if up and maintain it.
If you go with a 29 or smaller, you are so limited fish wise, though can do lots of nanocorals and it is not too expensive to set up.
Iwould suggest checking your space and budget against what you want to have in your home then take the plunge!!
Welcome back.

thank you. as i said i got rid of him then about 6 months later they were staring to be killed. so they were probably bigger than him. but the good news is i threw the live rock away in my back yard (alot of stuff has grown on it
) and i know i killed the little ****s then.
