New light for my reef tank, 4 different shades, what shade means what?

Hi, I have newly set up 55 gallon reef/fish tank. I have a few fish and 2 anemones. I recently purchased a new light for the tank, A high output 248 solarmax H.O. double T5 Lighting system. There is 4 different shades of light it makes. 1. A bright light, 2. A slightly brighter light, 3. A light purple light, 4. And a Dark blue light. I was wondering what light serves what purpose and what light should I have on at what time?

if im not mistakened, these lights do not have curved parabolic reflectors or individual reflectors for each bulb. therefor the light really isnt strong enough for anemones. as for the options, im not sure what you're talking about.
