i am thinking about getting this light for my 55 gallon. anybody have one or have comments about it. 48" 65 wats x 6. i currently have a sleaze bay cheapo 250 wat mh on one side of my tank and a 130 watt pc on the other. all works fine but i would like to have it look more appealing with one nice light. i would really like some opinions b4 i spend the money, cause like most of us i dont have much money but i sure seem to spend most of my extra on my tank.

Yes that would be a good choice.
I would ditch the Current bulbs and swap them for something better like ATI, Geisemann, or UVL.

why ditch the current bulbs? i am working with a "hide it from the wife budget" and buying more bulbs sounds like more money to me. whats the reason and is there a better brand i should buy so i dont have to relplace the bulbs. tks.

u can keep the bulbs. but after about 6-9 months, replace them with better bulbs for better colors and brightness.

or should i stick with mh such as this one. sunpod pro series. two 250 watt mh and white and blue led's. i want to be happy. i have wasted enough money already and i think i am partial to mh, but t5 would save me some energy. what do u think?

that nova extreme is 12 inches long. your tank is prolly 13 do you have anything hanging on the back?
u mean 12" deep, and yes i have a hob whisper to help keep my water clean. it is the only filtration i have other than my algae scrubber and chaeto. anyway it comes with mounting legs so there should be no problem fitting on my tank if that is where ur going. i just wonder if i would be happy with 320 watts of light, and half of that will be actinics. idk. mh or t5..............

I think the nova extreme pro is a good choice. Also take a look at the tek5 lights. You would be able to customize your lighting much more with t-5's than you could with halides. Can't go wrong with any of the fixtures you are looking at though.

i have the nove extreame you are lookijng at. awsome light! my eletric bill dropped when i switched from power compacts! the bulbs that come with it will have to be changed in 6-8months. just changed mine at about a year and it is super bright! should have done it 6 months ago. i've also seen some awsome deals on the novas around. plus it has moonlights! you wont be disapointed with that light!
