New Light, Rock, and Aquascape

My new light came in along with 33lbs of rock. The light looks great and is considerably brighter than my other one. Before I installed the light, I decided to aquascape with my new rock. Let me know how it looks and don't be afraid to be honest.

what is that dark red plant/algae?...I love that! oh...and nice lights/rock work!!! sooooooo clean and pretty!!

Thanks
The red plant is some type of algae that I found at a *****. I had never seen it before but the guy that was working said it will help to clear phosphates and nitrates.

ur rock work sux! just kidding. look nice. just add a black background and u r all set.

The light is a 48" Odyssea 260 watt PC with Lunars. I'm impressed thus far and the lunars look awesome at night. The rock had been cured for two years. The guy I bought it off of bought it all from a fish store that was closing down. I'll have to remember to keep the tank full as long as those hang ons are there, I'm hoping to have a canister within the next month so maybe that will eliminate some of the bubbles. I also thought about the black backdrop but I didn't know if it would look tacky or not? Thanks for all of the comments!!!

well an way the tank looks very good

How did your Odyssea work out for you? I was kind of timid when buying after the whole "burn your house down" rumor. As far as the clowns, they are pretty peaceful. Actually, between the two damsels and two clowns there really aren't any fights. For a while they were just like a small school.

I just bought the same light. I'm liking it so far...just got it a couple days ago. what corals are in your tank?

I'm impressed also. I don't have any corals in the tank, just two anemones; A green bulb and a Pink-Tip Hatian. I probably will try corals after college when I have a little more money to work with.

i liked the light for a while it was great with every thing it keept the coral happy i had a few anemones and they did great but the light got shorts after about 6-8months i had to beat it to get it to lght up all the bulbs if any water splash's the luners they will NOT work any more s i sugest taking off the legs and geting glass on the tank try to keep it 100% dry and splash/codensation free if you want the luners to last keep me posted on how it comes out
