New lighting , and hood???

ok now i been looking though out the net, and it seems theres many diffrent types and kinds of ways to set up my lighting, im not made of money and my tank is 20 gallons, so i was looking and i found a 65 watt smart light system , its about 110 bucks , the most i want to pay for lighting is about 125, however the measurements for the new system is 30 inches long(the same lenght of what i have now) 6 inches wide(curently i have 4) and 4 inches high(1 inch higher than i have now)the problem im haveing is i have the stock abs black hood, and im trying to find a system that will fit in the stock lighting fixture, however most likely ill go with the smart light, however im wondering, how can i build a new hood(dosent have to be fance) however i do want some type of easy access

by the way its a 20 gallon(long style) fish only with live rock , maybe might have 1 ammone someday , but i doubt itll ever be reef

well i will tell you no other light should go into your stock abs hood... any other might melt it down...look for on that is a sit on tank model ..in its on fixture... as for making one... if your ok with POWER TOOLS the make a canopony for you tank...not that hard...go to lfs for ideas and see how there built..jbj has good lighting as well as smartlights....
best bet is to look around at lfs .. see what you could make like theres....

Your possibilities are endless. You need to explore PC's as well as VHO. VHO will be more expensive, but it is worth it. Just do your homework.
