over the last few months--i have asked many lighting question--and gotten many different answers....This past weekend i made a trip out of town and found a PET SHOP--that had gone under--and was taken over by a new company--that has several stores--and they don't really deal is fish..--they had this tank and stand special in their clearence room---on top of it was a "Current outer orbit" 48" light unitits a 2x150 metal halide 10K bulbs with two PC 130W 44" long 50/50 actinic bulbs...420/460--the unit was brand new--never used--i asked how much they wanted---they didn't know--they called somebody-and asked me how $450 sounded--i told them it was missing parts and instructions--and that i would give them $350==they said OK--its only missing the power cord for the moon lights---a$12 part. WOW what a difference in lighting in my 90 gal tank--over my old 6x65W PC unit--that i just changed the bulbs in.
