new lighting?

We are upgrading from a 20 gallon to a 55 and will need to get some new lights. We have Coralife lights in both our saltwater tanks now and have had good results. Well, we think we have anyways... we are newbies so we are just happy that the fish are alive and the coral is growing. haha. We just wanted to get some other fish owners oppinions as the best brand lights out there. Can we keep with Coralife? We will be keeping coral and a few really nice fish (unlike the mean damsel fish in the other tank....but that is a post for another day!) like a pair of clowns and something else colorful and nice (NOT DAMSEL).
Thanks in advance for the advice....

It really depends on the type of coral you keep. If you had good results with your old light then you could stick to something similar. You should be a bit concerned about the change in depth from the old tank to the new one. If the new tank is deeper than you may need a little more intensity to punch through to the sand bed.

if you get a 6 bulb t5 ho fixture with individual reflectors you should be able to keep nearly anything you want in it

Thanks all! We ended up getting a 75 so we will have to get more lights for sure. We are looking into keeping the old lights and adding some new ones to get up to a good lighting level. But then again, we may just go with all new lights. Which sucks, since the other lights are only a few weeks old!!!!
