I have a 75 gallon acyrlic would a 36" 6 bulb t5 fixture with led moonlights be sufficient for growing corals. Each of the 6 bulbs is 39 watts. thanks for the input.
Hey there do you know what kind of coral you would like?
I have herd t5 light are better than pc.
You should be fine for most coals.I have a pc light and i put the hard coals at the top.
Well, generally you can keep anything you want under T5s, but your problem is going to be that only 3/4 of your tank is covered. Under the light, you will be fine, but on the side you may have problems.
I'll start by saying Welcome aboard... Lighting is the life line of a coral reef...As said before you CAN grow just about anything under T5's IF they fit your tank...With a 36in. light on a 48in tank you are leaving to much of your tank unlit so you will have to pile everything in the middle and up high. With 234watts you are only putting 3.12watt per. gal. You may need to rethink your lighting. To have good lighting for coral you need some where around 5watts per gal. I don't mean to come off negitive, but just want to help. This way if you get your lights set up first you won't have to upgrade later on down the line.
