new lighting

I want to upgrade my lighting in order to start a reef tank. Right now I have the standard lighting that came with my aquarium and I need to know what I should get. I would also prefer to buy a canopy to go with my stand. Any ideas on how I could go about this and what exactly should I get. Any input would be very helpful! Thanks

You need to input more information like your tank size and what do you want to keep etc.

I agree it really depends on what kind of corals you want to keep. It will make a difference on which canopy you will have to get also. For example if you go with a vho set up your canopy will not have to be as tall as if you go with a MH set up.
