New Lights

I just got the lights for my 20 long. 30x12x12. They are the Dual Satelites 130 Watt PCs. I was wondering if i could keep a monti cap under this lighting becasue the tank was so shallow. It would be about 6" from the lights. Also do you think it would grow if the water conditions and lights were maintained.
Also would this lighting be too strong for some florida rics.

I dont think SPS can be kept under any PCs, no matter what the depth.
Maybe someone else will tell you otherwise.

Monti Caps are not one of the more light loving sps corals. Im sure it would probably live and grow, but im not sure it would keep its color.
that light is fine for florida rics. rics, unlike other mushrooms like higher lighting. i have many colonies kept fairly close to metal halides. they may need time to adjust to higher lighting levels so make sure you place them on the bottom first and move them up a bit at a time if desired.
