This first picture is after installing 4 35" T5's. The second one I will post is my old 130w PC's. Let me know what you think.

Wow . . . i am impressed with the difference there. The T5's are definitely brighter than the PC's. I wonder how they compare to VHO. Could you go and buy some VHO and set that up next? :p

question for all you T5 users . . . what are the sockets for these bulbs like. Are they waterproof like the VHO 3-Piece ones?

M yend caps say water resistant. They look simular to standard NO but have a sleave that slides over to protect from splashing.

I have had a string of good luck finding deals on tank supplies. I bought a Remora Pro with Mag3 for $20, new in box E.T.S.S 600 Pro skimmer and two Iwaki pumps and a Pinpoint pH monitor with 4 used CA400 powerheads 2 200w heates for $200 and these lights where $100 for complete retro kit. Sorry for bragging but I needed to tell someone. My wife just does not get excited about this stuff and I have no close friends in the hobby.

Hey I don't now if it helps but I agree with Rye on the Fuji. I looked at both and bought the Fuji FinPix 3800. I it would be a great first Digi or upgrade sepending how advanced you want to get. They just droped the price to $349.

No MH, just the 4 35" T5's. I was suprized that they were that much brighter than my PC's. I only had the PC' on the tank for a month but was not happy with them from the get go. I origanally planned to include them with the T5 but I don't know if I will. :joy:
By the way it is only a 35gal.
