i have a 24g aquapod that is currently recocvering from a pretty big crash. i am now down to 5 crabs and about 10lbs of LR in it and i think we have LS in it as well. we are not new to saltwater but we overloaded the tank and killed everyone in it with ICK, now we kinda like the LR and want to get a small reef system going. my ? is : my LR isn't doing anything. i look at it with a flashlight in the dark and i haven't seen a thing. also should i begin adding things to it like a few mushrooms or something? i am going to wait about a month to begin putting more fish in it but in the meantime it seems like a good oppertunity to begin with the reef and invert setup. what do u suggest?

all my levels are good, i took the fish out a weekago and they died so it's all the same i'm assuming. the crabs are always walking all over and changing shells. the SA is at 1.021. i mean the only thing coming off the LR is yellow hair like things. no more dead stuff falling off the LR either.

+1 for a reef
looks like that rock was mor of base rock than live. try to find a piece or 2 that are covered in coraline or even have some nice macro algae growth on them, that will seed the rest with some good life.
and make sure you wait a full 6 weeks before you reintroduce fish
