New Macro Slider

I can't believe how much of a diff the "Macro Slider" made. The details are much better. All of these photo's are untouched, cropped only. Natural color......Prior pics of this zoa the colors were way off, I even think I mentioned that the colors were faded....The Tangerine Zoa's seriously look like this, they scream "look at me"....LOL

This is tiny frag of my Superman, intense blue color with red polyps, none of this faded crap that people try and pawn off as a superman

I kicked the setting to f9, what an incredible difference it made on capturing the true colors on all these zoa's

NIce pics. the slider seems to really have helped. The pics look awesome as always. One question for you. In the frag packs you sent out, the superman monti that you included, is this from the marticultured piece you got from the Dr.s or of the original superman you got from viper? Just curious. I'm stoked either way. All of the corals you sent me are doing excellent and coloring up nicely. That large acro colony you sent is now a crazy neon green with an orangish undertone. The sunset is almost completely orange now

The trick to taking great pics is to play with the camera settings and get a feel for what everything does.
.
The most important thing I learned was to bracket shoot, or rather take a pic, change fstop, take a pic, change fstop all the while leaving the camera focused on a single item, then go thru and view the photos and you'll start to see how the f stop will alter the depth of field and colors. Also, playing around with iso settings can have a huge impact on quality. Autofocus is worthless on macro subjects, all of the above were done in manual mode.... I could have saved myself a couple hundred bucks if I had known this before I purchased my AUTOFOCUS macro lens, could have just gotten a better quality manual lens.

Just finished lunch and now it's time to play again...more pics in a while

That's why I don't take pics of my tank too often. My tank looks pretty nice, but the pictures don't do it justice.
Wanna come over and take some pics max?

The details....If you look at some of my previous posts, the macro images are not that crisp or defined, especially the skirts on the zoa's....
Taken with macro slider, manual focus, f stop setting of 11...Some of the details may seem trivial, but learn enough tricks to capture a clean image and then you have incredible vs good...I'm still in the good stage
