Looks good, I have the same skimmer on my 240. The only thing that I can't tell from the video is how the skimmer outlet is positioned. I know it's a tight space, but what I did was turn the vertical outlet 90 degrees and then position the outlet tube so that the outlet water just breaks the surface of the water. So the water exhausts along side the skimmer body. I hope this makes sense. My production doubled after I did this, great skimmer choice. What size tank is it on?

then your all set, I cannot believe the improvement of my overall coral health and growth after just 4 months of using this skimmer. I never could get my trates below 20 no matter how many water changes or addition of refugium and chaeto. I just tested my nitrates and the are in between 0 and 5!

LOL im the same way iv'e never had trates under 20 even with the tank empty
but thats what im hoping the skimmer will take care of that but i took the canister and wet/dry off and just built a sump/fuge too so....

The only thing im worried about is the water level in the skimmer and the adjustment tube, I think i have it almost shut off but ive heard to break em in your supposed to have them fully open??

Your water level is a little high. I would run it so that the water line is right at the taper of the body for now. After about a week or so you can start to make slight adjustments accordingly. Looks good how you have it set up though. The output is above the water level in the sump, which make adjusting easier.
Are you running pinwheels or meshwheels right now? The mesh pulls a little more air than the Pw's do. On the 300 you might have to end up running it with Mw's to get enough air in that massive body.

there is an o ring on the wedge pipe, make sure that you have the pipe fully seated into the output pipe or it will not work correctly.

thats what i was thinkin too,and i put the mesh wheels in when i got it, but when i plugged it in they where rattlin and makin a bunch of noise and wouldn't even work so i took them out and put the pin wheels in but Im thinkin i didn't have the motors in correctly?

That's the bad theing about the mesh. If it is done right they are great, but they can be finicky to get started. If they rattle on startup you can blow into the airline and the pump will start.
They can be a pain in the butt , but they pull alot more air. Look at the mesh, and trim off any little stragglers that are sticking out, or up. The mesh should extend about 1mm past the yellow disk, any more than that and they are too heavy for the pump motor.
It just takes a little messing with them to get used to it. Alot of peeps don't like to tinker, so they use the PW"S. But ,IMO it is worth the gain to use the mesh.
