I just recently found 2 new 'things' in my tank. They are very similar, but on 2 completely different live rocks. One looks like a small white tube with cotton lightly swished around it. The other looks like a small white ball with pink tipped cotton swished around it. I figure they are worms and the cotton is some type of web, but I wondered if anyone knew the name of it? They don't look like feather dusters.

could be q tip sponges or some other kind of sponge; it also could be type of worm or snail even; more detail or of course a pic would farther help; you could do a search for "lr hitch hikers"...course you would have to sort through them
