Please don't get upset, I'm not picking on you or flaming you....I hate to rain on your joy but with three different types of clownfish..you are heading for disaster. What size is that tank? You can’t have more than one pair in that small area, all those clowns are going to fight to the death. Also that tanks too small for one Hippo tang, let alone two. Sorry but you have serious stocking issues.

I have had my clowns for about 5 years now, they all get along... the true, false and black and white are one family, the tomato and maroon are the other.. my tank size is in litters bought here in japan it comes somewhere between 87-89 gallons...as far as the hippos go..they were being kept in a 50 gallon aquarium the family was moving back to the states and they had to get rid of them...

Well your friends gave them to you and now you have ot give them to someone else. How nice of you to fishysit, I assume your smart enough not to keep them.. I am amazed the clowns haven't killed each other. I like your rock work.

I was also surprised that the clowns got along so well....specially being all different species.. to this day i still don't have a clue on how they all managed to live with each other... as for the hippos if i can't find anyone with a large enough tank I am going to try to give them back to the fish store.....

Its a 90g tank. Are the clowns the only fish you had? Maybe that is the secret. Clowns like their own space and maybe with nothing but them in each corner, they are happy. That big red guy (I don't know the type) looks like it could do some real damge if it wanted to. LOL... that has to be the biggest clown I ever laid eyes on.

yes when i first started the tank the clowns were one of the first, i purchased the true and the black and white, the rest were all given to me. the big red guy is rather timid i think it might be a white stripe maroon not 100% sure....but yes that is the biggest clown i have ever seen even bigger than the ones at the local aquariums lol

There have been a few people who have wanted more than one clown pair and we always tell them no way. So you have a 90g tank at least, and all the clowns introduced nearly at the same time...2 pairs and 1 extra....That info will be helpful later on for anyone else wanting to try it..5 years is certainly long enough to be sure it can be done.
LOL...I must assume the lone clown knows two against one is a no brainer, and no matter how big it's best to not pick a fight.

Yes, it's a white stripe maroon and she's gorgeous! She looks like she may be tank raised. My big girl has gotten really dark and still pretty, but I like them better when they're red. It doesn't look like you have an anemone and that's a good thing. Otherwise, she could be really aggressive about her space. I think your tank is one of those rare exceptions to the rules. Good luck!
