i would move him away or move the zoos away. i would be kind of afraid for the zoo's sake. it doens't have a chance against a monster like that, lol. thats like me going up against a sumo wresler.

Both of the colonies he's up against there are LARGE zoo colonies. Probably well over 100 polyps on each one. The small area he's currently stinging are a minute part. It wont hurt a thing if thats where he decides to stay. Like I said though, he's on the move, I wont mess with him unless he finds a spot thats not good for him. Or if he lands somewhere I just cant have him at. Actually if he stays right there, that'll be a good spot for him.

We'll see... the guy I got this from gets some really sweet stuff. Best in this area. Ora SPS, superman, rainbow monti's etc. His stock was sorta low today, but he still had some great stuff. He had 3 beautiful large rose bubble anenomes, some pretty nice rics. A pink and green open brain.....

The foot and the mouth on this guy is not purple, nor any tint of blue, but whitish, also the foot has some red/orange on it. So I really dont believe it is dyed. The coloration of the rest of the anenome is as described for this variety of LTA. But the purple color is beyond what I've seen. BTW, It is apparently a very healthy specimen, remainig inflated, sticky to the touch, has a very healthy looking foot and decided to move to another location.
It's now on the SB on the other side of the 65.

i didn't mean it was dyed, i was just wondering if the color was off. i couldn't believe it was that deep purple--it's beautiful but i've never seen ANY pic that color. i'm not sure how you'd dye an anenome, but who knows

if my wife sees that i may be on a hunt for a new anenome...

I didnt think that you did mean that, but it did cross my mind. which is why I stated that.
That is exactly the way it looks in real life. This pic was shot with a canon rebel xti slr. With flash on and about 50 pics to get an exact match of color. Out of the water when I picked it up, it was allmost black. Really I allways said I didnt want an anenome, with the wandering thing and all.Though I have allways enjoyed rose bubble anenomes,I have still resisted. Yet, yesterday when I saw this one, I could no longer resist.

Very nice nem!
I had one that looked like that when I bought it. It darkened up a bit a few weeks later. Still awesome in my book!

i have heard and see corals and anemones dyed before... hopefully this is not cause its a sick ass anemone... what will be hosting it. and if the foot is not the same color than most likely not dyed...
