new question on mandrinfish

Are mandrinfish good swimmers? I got one a week ago and he just started coming out from hiding. A couple hours later, I found him dead trapped in my power head. He was doing just fine earlier. I love those fish and I want to replace him but I want to find out a reason for his death first. Any ideas?

I had a Mandarin Goby and he too got caught up in the powerhead.. but mine was strong enough to swim out of it, he was roughly 1in.

How old is your tank? These fish are really delicate and I would not recommend one if your tank is not well established. I would use a turkey baster to help get food to it too.
