new reef tank idea

I have a table that is 31" by 17" and I figured out that it would support a 29 gallon tank. I was thinking mini-reef or should I get my chocolate chip stars(2) out and convert my 55 gal. into the reef. I was thinking stocking the 29 with a couple of low light soft corals, a flame angel and a maroon clown. Any suggestions woould be appreciated.

Make sure that table is sturdy enough to support that tank !! It may be small but it will get heavy quick when the weight of sand and Liverock are factored in to the 8lbs per gal of water that will be in there.

It's more of an old T.V. Stand than a table.

A 29G will wiegh over 300 pounds when full. A TV stand may not be suitable for that weight. If the stand is made out of partical board forget it as it will fail.
