I have two s/w tanks and a f/w at home. 2 f/w and a s/w at work. My bosses tank in the s/w. He is not a 'fisher' so it's mine to take care of. He has lots of wants and many of them aren't particularly easy... His tank is why I am writing.. it is a 29 gal w/
mech filter that runs w/ floss only most of the time
skimmer
24" super blue
3 coralife mini compact flour bulbs
ch chip star
condy annemanoe (sorry can't spell)
clove polyps
button polyps
1 yellow tail damsel
live rock
tiny crabs
small snails
golden cucumber
The polyps are new and suspect the star is going to have to go. I can move him home, I think he'd get along fine with the horses. I do believe the trigger in my big tank would love him for a snack but we won't be trying that. Michael would like to try to bred some perculas, so the yellow tail is probably going to go as well. His lighting (which he loves and doesn't want to decrese) is growning alge like mad! Green and red slime. I've never attempted a reef tank in my life. I have over the years been exposed to along the way keeping FOWLR tanks.
My questions today are.
Star need to go?
What reef safe critters will help my alge issues?
What other corals will work in this light? (I fiqure might as well grow something pretty)
Always open to any other advice,
Denise (didn't proof read, so... )
