New ricordea frag setup

I tried a new container from my ricordea cuttings and it seems to be working pretty well, so i figured that I should share. I bought a clear 14 pill box at the dollar store and drilled 1/8 inch holes in the top and sides. next I filled the individual containers with crushed coral, then I made my cuttings and placed 1 per section. It is a little bulky, but it worked much better than the fish netting over a container.

If I may I ask a question ~ I've cut and fragged other mushroom corals, but never a ricordea. Do you do them the same way? Cut across and through the mouth?

I fragged one a few weeks ago. I cut it into 6 pieces. i lost one while trying to settle them into the tank, and lost 2 other small pieces somehow. But the remaining three are in my nano now. they are doing good, very colorful, but not growing very fast. I did not get a piece of the mouth on each one, but they still made it through fine!

I try to get a piece of the mouth because they recover faster that way, but almost any piece will regrow

so far they seem to be doing fine, mine is about 12 inches below a MH fixture though. When they are ready to come out I would definately start them at the bottom and bring them up slowly.
