New sand flounder troubles

I have a sand flounder i got about 5 days ago. It has since developed three spots on it that are purplish and resemble bruises. It is acting weird and resting sideways on the glass. I am not too sure if it has eaten anything I have put some brine shrimp, ghost shrimp and dried krill in the tank and it hasnt shown any interest. Does anyone know what is going on with the fish?

Flounder do have an unbelievable ability to change their coloring, including spotting, to blend in with their surroundings. Is there anything on your rocks, glass, or substrate that resembles this coloring? But the not eating doesn't sound good. Could be an adjustment phase, but usually they are in the sand, and will snatch anything that floats by.

Much of the live rock in the tank is purple and green. After acclimating it hid halfway buried in the sand, now it rests at odd angles on the glass.

If you are talking about those larger purplish areas, that doesn't look like bruising to me. That looks like he's trying to blend in, and doing a very good job at it IMO...

Is that crushed coral, or shells on the bottom? Flounder in the wild would have no problems burying in that, but depending on where this guy came from, he might just not be use to something that rough.
