Well a few days ago I vacuumed my crushed coral and it was full of black crap, and smelled really bad. So I went to the lfs and bought a bag of Aragamax sugar sized sand and change it out. It was cloudy for a day but now looks great. And Phos. went from .25 ppm to .01ppm in two days. I think I found my phos problem, it was leaching out of the old crushed coral that had been in my tank for 4 years.
