new set-up help

I want to set-up a new tank that will divide 2 rooms. I am thinking a 240 which is 96x24x25. I want the tank to be see thru from each room and nice looking from each room.
One of my first questions is where to put the overflows?
I was thinking a 1" hole on the bottom of each side for the returns and 1 1/2" holes on each side for dropping water to the fuge.
I wanted to put a wave2k on each end which are 16 1/2" wide.
Please any help or suggestions would be great.

Two one inch drains will oly give you around 1200 gph out. (about 600 each max.) One one and one half (1-1/2)will give over 1500 for just one. two 1-1/2 will give you over 3000 GPH out. It looks like the two one inch ones may be too small for the tank size.
Lets see what others say. Good Luck with the project...... Warren

Is that the right ratio?
Yes, with that big of a tank, I still thing at least 1-1/2 should be your smallest for 2 drains. That would be around a max. of 3200 GPH with unrestricted gravity flow down. Pushing threw 2 one inchers may work back to the tank, but lets see what some other folks suggest.

I have the set up you desire and have one large box on the end with 2 returns. The look with a box on each end does not look good. Get a min of 1" drains, better to get 1 1/2. I use one large sequence pump to handle flow. If you need some more advice let me know. Good luck
You will like it once it is complete.

(for dropping water to the fuge.)
If you will useing a fuge. You do not need 3500gph over it...
You use ph in tank to get good flow not from the sump...
The 1'' to 1.1/2'' will work.

Is it possible to set this up without a need for powerheads in the tank?
I wanted to use wake2k's on each end and was hoping to create the rest of my flow using my returns.
I plan to have a 65 gl sump tank below it as my main filtration
