i am new to saltwater looking for some ideas on filtration.would a fluval304 be adequate and is a protein skimmer absolutely necessary i will be setting up a fish only set up any better ideas
Well about the Fluval it depends on what size of tank you have. The instructions on the Fluval will let you know what size of tank it is suited for. As far as the skimmer it will help remove a lot of waste produced by the fish. I run one on my tank and love it. Hope this helps.
