pretty decent pics considering they were camera phones
well how longs ur tank been up and running?? very cool that u made ur own sump setup
id say as long as ur water quality is good meaning nitrates ammonia and nitrites are alll close to zero or prefferably zero then ur pretty good...
keep your water parameters stable and in the green
id say ur good with softies and some LPS too just kinda look around and see what u like

Yea I have a Motorola Q ... its got a good camera...
But my tank has been running for about 2 months now...
I already have a green star polyp... so i want more..
But what is "sps" and "lps"

well sps is the branching corals that look like sticks with small polyps aka small polypd stony
LPS is the more fleshy things like Brain corals and Frogspawns Bubbles things like that Large Polypd Stony
anyways u cant keep SPS unless u have Metal Halide lighting but u can keep soft corals and LPS with the lights u currently have

yea...
I have had stock lights for the first part of my tank and the coral still thirved.
I heard that green star ployps dont need much light or flow... and that has been the case with me.
But what else can i add to my tank.. I want more fish but most cool ones arnt reef safe... do you have any ideas?

well fish man there are lots of fish out there just stay away from larger ones and tangs they need a bigger tank but there are lotf of cooler lil fish like anthias and some smaller wrasses that will do fine
corals i would start out with like a hammer or frogspawn coral and maybe a open brain coral see how those do maybe some nice ricordias and zoos too

yea i am thinking about zoos....
But I was looking at some of the threads you did and I noticed your amazing tank photos with somesort of lionfish in there....
What kind is that??
And i thought they wernt reef safe?
how much did it cost?

thats a yellow fuzzy dwarf lionfish..
its reef safe to a point like everything he doesnt mess with corals one bit but he would eat a shrimp in a second and if not kept well feed he will turn on smaller fish that fit in his big mouth...
i got him at an lfs out here for $20 but ive seen the more rare ones go for over $100 but i guess my LFS didnt know what they had 3 years ago

my current tanks been up a lil over a year i set it up transferring over my old 100G tank but this time i wanted sps so i got the equipment to care for them on this setup

he might be good with the shrimp since its already in the tank and its a cleaner shrimp those ones seem to have the best luck surviving lil lions lol

Yea, that might be...
But i was looking on this website about the fuzzy dwarf lion and they said its not reef safe....
How come your lion thrives in its reef community?

look around alot of reefers in here have lil dwarf fuzzys... they are considered not reef safe due to eating sescile incvertebrates... but they dont mess with corals one bit... as with any fish like this u run the chances of it eating smaller things that will fit in its mouth.... ive learned feed it often and alot makes it happy

Yea, that makes sense...
I am worried about my 2 clowns tho...
Do you think it could fit a clown fish in its mouth?
