New setup

I have just set up a 75 gallon reef with 2 fluval filters, a uv light, 400 GPH power head and 60 lbs Fiji rock (high quality). I have a light that isn't quite enough with 100 watts white (7000K) 100w & Blue (7000K)
What I am not sure about is:
1) can I filter my reef with a fluval 304 & 404?
Filter runs through carbon.
2) Should I buy a skimmer?
3) I am interested in soft corals, how much light?
4) Should I use my UV light?
5) Can I keep larger fish?

You may get a lot of different response here, but I'd say you are well on your way.
The two Fluvals plus your powerhead will give you somewhere around 1000 gph total tankwater circulation.
That's a little over 13 turns of the water per hour - not bad at all.
I would keep them clean - and not use them for bio filtration. But they will keep the water moving which is good.
You should be able to keep some mushrooms, maybe some leathers and various polyps under 200 watts - but what type of lighting is it actually ?
And what is this UV light you're referring to ? A sterilizer or an acutal UV light ?? My understanding is that UV is not good on corals
You'll probably want to upgrade the lighting someday soon, most everyone does eventually
Protein skimmer - can't go wrong with one of these. Tons to choose from, get one you can use as a hang on for now, and still use insump should you decide to go that route ( good idea imo )
What are you using for substrate ???
Live rock - can't go wrong here either

Thanks for the information. In response to your questions:
The floresent light is mfg by Top. Phillips bulbs & Heilos bulbs.
It was fine for my fish only but it doesn't seem strong enough for the new set up.
The UV is a Sterelizer, Vectron UV15
I have 50 lbs of crushed coral that I am using as substrate.
I'm not sure if I should buy live sand.
The rock has a lot of red and growths all over it. I was told this is what I would need.
I know I need a light. I have looked at alot of setups and mine seems to be alot diffrent. No sump, no R/O etc. I don't want to spend 2 grand on a failure. I would rather spend 2500 on a sucess. Thanks. John
