is it common for some snails to just sit there and not come out of shell when u fist put them in i picked them up after 2 days they still seem tight in there shells if they were dead would they hang out of shells or somthin ?? most of the snails went on glass in a few hours ??? if they are alive i want to give them a chance and moved them onto lr cause they were in sand by glass

I got four mexican turbos a couple of weeks ago and I went through the same thing you are going through. To make a long story short, my guys were dead (and extremely stinky.) I tried to move mine to the LR as well, with no results.
How did you acclimate them? I floated them for a while, and then dripped them for a few hours and then tried to put them in. They just sat at the bottom of the tank (or whereever I placed them) and died. My water perams were fine (before the deaths, ammonia went up a bit after they died, but returned to normal in a day or two.)
I know that I have read on this and other boards that 80-82 degrees is a little hot for snails, but I do not know if this could be the problem.
Good luck, I hope that your story turns out happier than mine. Anybody else have any advice?
