new snowflake eel

hi i just got a snowflake eel and i have everything sealed on my tank that little space between the glass of my aquarium and my filter do u think he could get out that way or will the water flow stop him thanks

I have had a few sfe over the years. I have had gaps in my tanks as well. I found as long as he is well fed no issues
