I went and picked up a squamosa clam today...I had it about three years ago and sold it to a local reefer when I took down my 180 gallon...I finally got it back today. It is a "little" larger than it was then.
in a 5 gallon bucket

In a 65 gallon tank

With my 22 year old nephews hand for scale...he is a little over 6 ft.

A little close up

Our LFS had one that was actually bigger than that sucker! They are beautifull when they get big like that. He had a pair of clowns that would swim in and out of it.

I was being a little sarcastic when I said it grew a little...lol
The 6ft was in reference to the hand in the pic...it is the hand of a man who is over 6ft tall.
The clam itself is right at 14" long

what do you feed that guy???
He had a philly cheese steak for dinner tonight...lol. Just plan on a dusting of phyto and cyclopeeze from time to time and lots of light. I am also in the process of adding a calcium reactor....realizing more each day that I have no clue about calcium reactors....lol/

Sorry about that....I guess...lol
I had to put some pics up, I was sooooo happy yesterday to get it back. I had the 65 gallon running as a fish only tank with some non reef type fish in it. I took all of em and traded em for a GSM and a green bubble tip and then picked up the clam. I have always wanted a bubble tip and a GSM
