New Star Polyps

I just got some green star polyps today at my lfs. I wanted more but half of their tanks got infested with flat worms

I know star polyps like a lot of flow but do they like a lot of light as well? And do i need to acclimate them or do i just float them until the temp is good and put them in? Ill post pics when they decide to open up.

Mine are doing well at the bottom of the tank under PC. Temp acclimate them and just find a nice place with good flow.

i have some in high flow, and some in low flow. both do well. i just temp acclimate any coral.

id dip them or QT them to make sure youre not putting flatworms in your tank, too.

I love star polyps one of my favorite. I agree that I would QT them as well to make sure your safe. I know I want some and hopefully will get some soon. I have a bare tank nothing in it yet. Wanna share when your Frag is large enough LOL!

I dipped them before i put them in. Nothing, woot! I unfortunatly need to get a quarentine tank. Need to save up first.

they look more purple than green to me? still a great addition!

thnx. They were green when i got them so their color should return eventually.
