Long story short... I have to take in some fish for my g/f because she can no longer have a tank. I'm not sure i want to manage 2 separate tanks BUT she has some slightly unfriendly fish.....
my aquarium contains:
Nassarius snails - small
BLue, Red, White Legged Hermints
3 zebra Gobies
2 Purple Firefish,
1 Madaridn Dragonette
1 Flase Percula,
1 Yellow Wrasse
1 Yellow Tang
1 Coral Banded Shrimp
She has a Dwarf Lion and a Dwarf Puffer...
any forseeable problems. I'm less worried about the Lionfish, but the puffer.. i dont know....
I also have lots of Corals- LPS, SPS, Soft, Leathers, Mushrooms, etc 3 Clams, and some Large Feather Dusters...

Anything they can fit in there mouths you can kiss goodbye. Anyway you can turn these into the LFS for credit? Maybe sell them on a local reef forum?

my G/f really didn't want to get rid of the tank so i dont want to sell her fish. If i have to maintain two tanks its no big deal.

If you can keep two tanks, I'd definitely do that.

I've read about several people on the forums here keeping dwarfs in a reef. The puffer I've not seen so much. Especially with the dwarf, the more they're fed the less you would have to worry about their tank mates.

IMHO you have a lot of tank denizens that would be at risk from either one of the fish. the puffer would be especially dangerous to the shrimp and inverts (snails etc) and even a dwarf lion is capable of eating firefish and other low profile fish. it would be a risky proposition. it would be best for you to leavethem in their own set up. if you wanted you could set them up to share a sump so you can maintain both tanks in one shot. it would meant larger waterchanges due to the increased volume but you wouldnt have to track the parameters for 2 tanks as both would be on the same water.

Thanks for all the feed back everyone. I'm just going to deal with two tanks for a while and maybe i'll try to setup a larger sump to put them in.
