New Tank...Messy water

I've had my 29G about a week now with 40lbs of live sand. I put in a shrimp to kick start the cycling process about 3-4 days ago. My amonia is rising and my nitrites are starting to rise. 23 lbs of LR should be here in a couple days. Anyway, I just added a much more powerful power head to the surface of the tank the other day and since then I've noticed my water is kinda cloudy. I don't know if it is because of the decaying shrimp of maybe the powehead is just mixing everything up a bunch.
Once everthing is good I'm gonna add one or 2 percula's and maybe a couple damsels. What should I get for a clean-up crew? Anyhting that will look cool?? Thanks:notsure:

i would say that the cloudy water is from the shrimp. if you got an amonia spike then you might just want pull out the shrimp since it has done its job.oh about the fish pick eighther or, not both youll be sorry. damsels are not the best tank mates for most fish other than themselves. about the clean up crew i would recomend about 10 hermits. i like the blue legs, but some here are againts them because they are killers. if they need a new shell and they can get a snail or another hermit they will killl it for the shell. also get about 10 snails 5 turbos and 5 cerith. that should be good, if you see that you need more after awhile then adjust the amounts to suite your specific needs. that amount i think should be good for you.
but thats my $.02
