Tore down my 55 :( but set up the 75 :)
Been 1 month.
Some pics if you're interested.
Got a long ways to go - need to make some changes to sump, add refugium still, and get all equipment under tank permanently installed, but for now - it's running well.
Hopefully this will work ...

Brian, I noticed you have a firefish and a dottyback in the same tank. How's that working out? I am considering a pair for my tank, but I have been worried about aggression from the dottyback that has been in there for almost a year. Lemme know what you think
Thanks,
B

Thanks folks !
I love seeing pics too NM reef
Which corals are you wanting and ID on ?
KDLBEM - it's a Royal Gramma.
No problems with the firefish and gramma getting along.

Nice pics broomer. Love the open brain. It's one of my favorites. In response to B. I have two purple firefish(mated pair) and a Royal gramma together and they work out just fine. The gramma doesn't mess with the firefish unless they invade his home territory, and they know better.

broomer, excellent LR setup. Is it ok to have it against the glass? I've heard yay and nay, something about pointy rock and pressing on the glass. Whats your opinion.
Also, is that just store bought water on the bucket? use it for top offs when you dose?

Again ... thanks for the comments.

I've never had a problem with LR leaning against the back glass. It's actually supported from the rock underneath as well, but does indeed touch the glass.
That jug on the bucket is a 2 gallon store bought water jug, that came with the spout/valve. It's my "high tech" kalkwasser dosing system LOL. Only took about 20 minutes to make it ... and cost a total of $4.00 LOL :D I'm not currently adding much kalk yet, but was tinkering with the day I took the pics. It works good though, and holds enough for 2 nights worth of top off. I'm planning on re-doing the sump, will add some other components and refugium if space allows. But for now .... I wanted to get the tank up and running between the xmas/newyear holidays .... so it isn't finished under there yet.
See ya'll
