New Tank Setup...Q.

just a few questions on setting up a new tank (29gal)
1. how long do you normally wait before you put in fish?
2. what type of equipment should i use (pumps, filters...etc.)
3. I seen some posts about damsels. are they not good to start with?
just need a basic tank setup just something for the kids to look at.

Hi,

It really depends on what you want to keep in it. I mean do you want to have a fowler setup (fish only with live rock) or a reefsetup. I have a 29 thats been setup as a fowler for about a year. Fowler setups are alot easier and cheaper than reefs. But reefs tend to be more perty. As far as damsils go they can be very aggressive and territorial.

mainly just looking for fish setup clown fish or sea horses or something, nothing to exotic or pricey, i wanna make sure i can manage it first before upgrading to something bigger and better.
