Im going to the store to pick out some more fish for my tank today and I was hoping I could get some input on the best fish to add. Im new to the site so I should probably give you info about my setup
its 150 gal Ive had 7 green chromis in there for 4 weeks and the 2 weeks ago we droped 1 koran angel 1 raccoon butterfly 1 pinktail trigger 1 filefish and 1 clownfish. All are doing fine but we lost 1 green chromis. What would be the next fish I should add that would be compatible? Also, I should put that I already know im getting a porcupine puffer so other than that...

My best advice woud be wait a couple weeks and slow down on adding so many fish. You are putting qutie a bioload quickly in there. Not saying the 150 cant handle it but let it catch up to the bio load. I added way less fish than you when I setup my 180 but once you add 1 to many you will regret it as I lost about 70% of my fish in about 3 days. Good luck I hope the best just please listen to my advice and in another 2 weeks add a nice tang I like the chevron tangs

Adding that many fish over such a short time is making it unstable at best...
Have you done research on all these fish or just pick them out based on looks?

needless to say he is in it to make money,,, please add only one fish every other week from now on... and jsut so you know when that puffer gets big, you wont have any of those chromis and probably not the clown left either...they tend to nip or try to eat smaller fish....also im assuming this is a fish only tank, as the angel will nip corals....
SO what i would add next in a few weeks would be
yellow eye kole tang
then posibly a magnificent foxface
then some type of flasher wrasse
and finnally a arc eye or freckled hawkfish
Filefish have dismal survival rates in captivity if it is not a captive bred one...he probably wont make it longer than a month unfortuently

then the trigger?? i dunno about him

The "professional" is leading you in the wrong direction, and in time it will cost you a lot of money, and the lives of animals. There are many people who set themselves up as "professionals" in the hobby that have limited background. But there are many who call themselves "marine biologists" or similar who have equally little background. The advice to slow down - from so many people - is from experience.
Was the tank cycled with the chromis? Is there live rock?
Tanks need to be stocked slowly but surely. Things can go south quickly. YOu need a game plan and stock list and schedule. So I would get a good book, like "Marine Fishes' by scott Michaels and start planning. Do you intend to keep corals?

Well thanks to everyone for the advice. The guy that were using is said around town to be the best and most knowledgable. Anywho, my one and only requirement when choosing how to stock the tank was that I had the have a porcupine puffer. From there I left it up to the guy to show us what would work with him.
