New Tank

I just started a 40 gl tank with LR & LS. I've added about 16lb of LR and would like to add more, somewhere around 40 lb. I just started my cycle and am anxious to get started. Any suggestions for a new user??

You can add a frozen cocktail shrimp (like from a grocery store) to get your cycle jump started. THis will kick off the ammonia spike. Please don't cycle with damsels!
After that just sit back and wait, and when it comes time to add fish, be patient!

I have 1 damsel, is that not good?? My cycle is running good, my ammonia is rising, my pH is good, my saltwater level is good........

I can't recommend using live fish for cycling. It's inhumane even for just a damsel. He should survive but theres no sense when what SSMariner9 suggested doesn't hurt anything and works equally well.
be patient and don't get in a hurry. Nothing good in this hobby happens quickly.
