New Tank?

I wanted to set up a 50 gal. tank, but my LFS said it would cost a total of $900! Is there anyway to set up a smaller tank for less $? (fish only) Where would you recommend getting products? Does ---- work well?

look around for a while in your town and on the internet. you can get a much better deal than that.
do you plan to do a fish only, or a reef? with a reef you will need better lighting which can get quite pricy.

Are you guys serious? 650, 900?!!!
I payed 95 for my tank with hood and lights
(twin tube cost me 40 bucks more) My stand was 76 and the canopy was only a 100. But if the 900 includes ls, lr and filters, I think it would probaly worth it.

Hey cowgirl check E-BAY. you can find some killer deals i saw a 200 gal plexi in San Diego that had crushed black sand two power heads and tube lights sell for $238.00 only prob was i didn't see it till auction was over.

what is 900$?
is that for the tank, or is it an approx for a fully stocked and running tank?
my 75 with a wood (not flake) stand, glass hood, pc lighting and a filter only cost me 450, but I have well over 1500 in it now and am not done, the only thing is most of it came in small incraments, that is one thing with this hobby, you have to go slow, and wait for the system, but hey the wallet can catch up at the same time, unfortunately, it will never end, it will become an addiction, you will say:next month i'm gonna......, tehn stop, then within a couple of months, you find yourself thinking, and once it is too much for your tank, We all say"UMMM dear, how do you think this new tank would look over there, or there"
