dwarf lions, humu humu trigger, snowflake eel, these fish are all fish very very hard to kill. especially the snowflake.

the trigger will most likely nip the fins of the lion, plus SFE get to big for a 55 are are experts at escaping from tanks

I've always wanted a blue tang but I don't know in a 55G. Try it.... Maybe a stars and stripes puffer fish.

read first before answering. he wasn't saying put all these fish in together, but that they are good starter fish. secondly a 55 gallon tank is 25 more gallons then the minimum allowed for sfe's. as long as you don't give him a reason to escape they are fine. meaning feed them plenty, proper place to hangout and hide, fish that won't pick on them, etc. i've had a sfe in a 55 before and was there for over 3 years and was fine without escape.

can you tade in the 55g and go to a 6ft tank like a 125g? this would open up alot more options, especially the awesome blue hippo tang! in general fish that stay under 5in do well in a 55g. the dwarf angel group has some colorful options for a 55g ex) flame, bicolor, lemonpeel, golden, flameback, etc :yes:
