i am swithching my 55 gallon reef to a a sea clear system 11 90 gallon. It has a driptray in back with bio balls and a 350 gph pump. I have read that bio balls in not the way to go for a reef tank. Is this true? do i dump the bio balls and go with a top fathon 110 in a ref tank below. or use both.

bio balls are nitrate factories unless you clean them once in a while. and what is a top fathon 110?
