New tank

I have a 14 biocube that i am curing rock for right now. They will be ready within the next week. Can i set the tank up with just sand and water until the rock is ready? It will not have a heater until the rock is ready because it is heating the water the rock is curing in. I just want to give the sand to have a chance to settle before adding the rock. So basically my question is, can live sand be in a tank without a heater?

Sure as long as it does not fluctuate TOO much. Youa re best to buy another heater anyway. You can use it when making new water, or for holding corals when changing tankscape around. You should wait until a day or two at the most before putting your sand in if you are not goin to heat it before adding your rock just for heat issues. It only takes a few hours to settle and it wioll be just fine in the bag it came in. Patience is a HUGE part of the initial and long run aspects of this great hobby. Post pics when you get a chance.
