new tank

ok guys i need some suggestions from ya all! i just got a 65 gallon reef ready All Glass tank yesterday. i got such a killer deal that i couldnt pass it up. anyhow if any of ya have aga tanks with the overflows, how do you use a DSB while still taking advantage of the grate in the bottom of the overflow? i was considering this problem the other day and thought that i could either seal it up and not use it(thought i think its a great idea) or slope my dsb away from it! any suggestions? also, what do you all think, lighting wise? i was considering 2* 250w mh lights, probably 10K with 2*55w supplemental actinic pc's!
any ideas/suggestions? the main filter will be a wet/dry that will be converted into a fuge, cause i had it laying around. any ideas/hints/suggestions? all is appreciated!

I slope the sand bed away from the bottom grates, works ok for me, you want to take advantage of that bottom intake, better circulation
