the sohal was bigger and the hippo was tiny. He didn't really kill her. He was beating on constantly, so I netted her out and put her in the refuge to heal a little bit. Her fins got stuck on some filter floss by my return pump and she died. I noticed her when my son said the fish room stunk!
SWEET LOOKING FISH, I HAD SEEN ONE LIKE THAT BEFORE!!! I THINK A GUY AT MY LAST JOB HAD A FISH LIKE THAT!!!!! LOVE THE NEW PIC, BANDIT LOOKS RUTHLESS!!!! LATER!!

Sohals are pretty aggressive amd will often beat up smaller fish.
Joncat he/she is beautiful. Great addition and color contrast. Is he eating yet?
Thanks blizz and gina...
Yeah he is eating good now...took a couple days, all he did was hide. He is the biggest fish in my tank, so I don't think anybody will bother him...LOL
I mention it because the species are know not to adjust to captivity well not because of his size or tankmates. But if he is eating that is a great sign!
They are really cool fish, i went snorkeling in the caymans this summer and there were hundreds of them all on one rock and they came right up to people. Great Personalities, hope yours has the same.
I paid $650 f0r the tank including dual meagflow overflows. the tank is built into a wall , so I didnt buy a stand or canopy....It is and all-glass tank
