New Tanks and Live Sand

OK, I know live sand is good but what is the best way to create the bed? Do you mix it with other media, all sand? What's reccomended for a 135?

generally speaking you would want it to be all the same size so as the larger particles dont get pushed up as the smaller particles fall below them. if you have a large tank you dont have to buy all live sand, you can get regular sand and "seed" it with some live sand cheaper that way.
