So I went to my lfs ( 2 hours away ) today and they asked me to help out with a sale they were having. I went and took my best friends 17 year old daughter with me so as to not drive alone and also she loves the place plus I love her as my own kid so was a fun day.
Anyway, I ended up buying a new skimmer for my 75 a 30 gal sump with sock kit tek 8 bulbs, mag 1200 and some other odds and ends for my 75.
I then saw it the deal I been looking for. a duel overflow 125 with stand brand new and a 72 inch Coralie light on top as I said brand new for 650 as a deal to me from the owner :) I also picked up a brand new sump/refuge thats HUGE that fits up to a 400 gal tank duel whatever its called on it it is overkill but I always go bigger is better :)
I also think I bought a 314 gal acrylic and stand drilled etc but still talking the wife into it :)
So all in all was a super day.
I will have pics up of my 75 gal equipment tonight and the other tanks etc will be delivered next week so i'm making a diary I think.

Thanks, I am very excited. I am thinking of selling the stand on the 125 and building my own. The 315 acrylic has a stand but I want to re-face it and new sides etc to dress it up. My 75 never looked so good. The corals are showing colors I never knew it had lol :)
The fish are hiding under the rocks I think they are a bit freaked out about all that light. I went 4 white 2 on each outside which runs on a separate switch and then in the middle I ran 1 blue one purple 1 blue one purple. Those will come on at 8 a.m. @ 11 a.m. the whites will come on and then go off around 6 p.m. then the purple and blues will stay on until 9 p.m. I am thinking but if anyone has a better idea lemme know. the bulbs are giesemann.

Pics with just the 2 blue and two purple on the tek light. The lights just came on so everything is still asleep and not opened up yet.

Arent you the same guy who could'nt spend more than 400 bucks for a light. Then went on and on about how you wife would kill you if you spent more than that? Then professed to everybody how your decision was the only right decision to make?.... Funny, now you're buyin' more tanks you cant afford to light. You really should s l o w down, IMO.

Thanks for your concern. The difference now from then is I explained how it works to have better things and going cheap is a bad idea.

Anyway, I think we will be fine my intrest checks on my exxon stock paid for this stuff and more :) Go Go exxon.

I am going to paint the back of the tank tomorrow with black latex and get it all plumped.
I think I am going to start on a custom stand for both tanks as I am not real hip to the cheaper stands these things come with.
The 214 tank will be a few weeks to a month away before I get started on that as the stand needs to be re-faced and the tank severely cleaned up buffed etc.
Any suggestions on how to plump this duel overflow would be appreciated. It has teeth at the bottom where the out is going to be so I am going to toss some acrylic in there to cover the bottom and drop a DSB in it I think making a fuge. the first intake will be a sock kit and the second one toward the middle will be Rubble rock. Any better suggestions are more than welcome.
I have a SR4R protein skimmer for it and it will not sit into the sump as it is too small so I have to figure that out as well. The pump is attached so I guess I can just remove the pump ( have not even looked at it really to see if I can and run a hose to the outside of the tank as I did with my other 75.
